The news article linked above certainly would apply to anyone whom has or had credit issues and could potentially spark the beginning of a landmark regulation as it pertains to the collections companies blatant disregard for required procedure in our country. Definitely something to follow in the near to mid term. It also provides consumers an idea of how arbitrary the process is that collections companies go after consumers with so little diligence, not to mention the blatant disregard for how the law requires them to have purchased debt in hand before collection.
